IT City?

"Future is andhera, black spot!" This was the first statement that came to my mind after this conversation....

Over the last 1 week of working at home, I realized that power cuts had become the order of the day and average time in a day that power was not available ranged anywhere between 2 to 5 hours. Also, the power cuts were unscheduled and untimely. So, today I called the Besscom contact(BC for short), and this is our conversation:

C: I am calling from XYZ area, and we are having regular power cuts
BC: Yes Ma'am. That is a known thing. As per government regulation, we are required to have a 1 hr power cut in the morning and 1 hour power cut in the evening.

C: Can you tell me what time the power cuts are scheduled.
BC: No Ma'am. That depends on the engineer at the station.

(In my thoughts: How does the engineer decide when to have the power cut - does he use some random location generator algorithm which we can hack?!?!...)

C: If you have scheduled power cuts, why dont you publish the schedule so that people can plan their work and life accordingly.
BC: Ma'am, We cannot publish, because the power cut depends on the engineer at the station.

C (perplexed): Ok. And how long are these power cuts going to continue.
BC: Until the next power station comes up.

C (bewildered and fast lossing patience!): And how many years before that happens?
BC: I don't know Ma'am.
C (speechless!): Ok. Thank you.

And we still call this city the IT capital of India!!!!!!!!!!!!
